Arick also enjoys taking care of the many animals in his life.
Arick particularly values the character attributes of integrity, kindness and respect, and is a great role model for Viking Discovery Program students in these areas. Arick enjoys working at the Viking Discovery Program because "the kids are just a fun to be around. They say the funniest things and it makes me laugh. They are also very sweet at times and I can say all of them have truly grown on me. Working with children, although at times can be stressful, is a time for me to enjoy their sense of innocence and a time to help them learn and grow. I appreciate every student and they have taught me many things."

Kelsie was promoted to Program Director in May of 2014. "I am the Director of a wonderful program. Being able to be involved in a part of each student's life has greatly deepened my joy of helping kids and the families in the community."
Kelsie is a tremendous leader, who has quickly earned the respect of her colleagues, Nebraska's Department of Health and Human Services, School District 145 Administration, District patrons, and the students who attend the Viking Discovery Program. Under Kelsie's leadership, the Program has increased enrollment, recruited and retained outstanding staff members, added off-site field trips, and so much more!
When asked about her personal interests, Kelsie replied, "I have many interests in addition to working with kids. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Zack, and our two cats (Mocha and Oakley), and our two dogs (Rocco and Nadia). We are actively involved in our religion which keeps us busy.
