What does the day look like?
Our Non-School Day Care schedule closely mirrors our Summer Care programming and includes play-based educational experiences, as well as meaningful opportunities for students to connect with peers in a structured yet flexible school environment. We prioritize outdoor time and regularly welcome visiting instructors to enrich student experiences. Lunch is provided by the Viking Discovery Program, along with two nutritious, USDA-approved snacks each day.

How do I notify the Program that my student will attend?
Pre-registration is required for all Non-School Day Care attendance to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Space may be limited. Students may enroll for a single Non-School Day or for multiple Non-School Days throughout the year. Families currently registered for Before and After School Care will receive priority registration.
-
Talk to me about payment...
Non-School Day Care costs $55 per child.

Which sites host Non-School Day Care?
For Non-School Day Care, the Eagle site will operate at Eagle Elementary School. Students from Waverly will attend a combined care site at Hamlow Elementary School. A minimum enrollment of eight students is required for a site to operate. If fewer than eight students are enrolled at a site one week prior to the scheduled Non-School Day, programs may be consolidated, and all students may attend a single designated location.

What if I have an emergency and need care on short notice?
If you have not pre-registered, care cannot be guaranteed. Students may not attend Non-School Day Care without prior registration. If you need last-minute care, please contact the Program Director to inquire about space availability and receive approval before sending your student.
