SITE SUPERVISORS WANTED: Qualifications include, but are not limited to, a minimum of 19 years of age and 3 - 6 PM availability Monday through Friday. Applicants should show leadership qualities, enjoy working with kids, be self-motivated, and possess great organizational and communication skills. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. All Viking Discovery Program sites are licensed by the State of Nebraska. Some training will be provided, but Nebraska DHHS credential requirements for Site Supervisors require at least one of the following:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Education or Child/Youth Development
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with at least 3 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Education or Child/Youth Development
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Education or Child/Youth Development
- Child Development Associate Credential
- Successful completion of 3 credit hours or 45 clock hours of Department-approved training in Administration, Early Childhood Education, Education or Child/Youth Development
- High school diploma or GED and 3000 clock hours of verifiable experience in organized group activities for school-age children as indicated by a positive reference from a former employer or supervisor
TEACHERS/AIDS WANTED: Qualifications include, but are not limited to, a minimum of 16 years of age and 3 - 6 PM availability Monday through Friday. Training will be provided. Applicants should enjoy working with kids, be self-motivated, and possess great organizational and communication skills. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
